In 2010, after a few years of R&D, a modular temporary school with 24 classrooms was commissioned instead of the usual steel-container solution. It was a great success, and led to many new commissions ... mobispace® was born.

And on a larger scale, it is clear that resources, recycling and a building's life cycle must be considered together. Compared to steel containers, mobispace® means more renewable energy and less greenhouse emissions.

Twelve weeks later, you can move into your mobispace®.
The mobispace® project is launched: the planning starts. Dimensions are determined.
The construction drawings are completed. Door and Window openings and finishes are planned according to your specifications.
The components are manufactured. Ready made; switches and lights are mounted, windows with sun protection installed, floors laid. Only the interior doors are hung on the construction site.
The mobispace® modules are loaded onto trailers. A 60 sqm module consists of 4 wall-elements, 3 floor-element and 3 ceiling-elements.
The transport arrives at the site. Construction starts. On average, two modules per day are assembled.
Finishing works are completed in a few days, provided simple building services (mechanical and electrical) are planned.
To this day we have built over 200 mobispace® modules. Here are some examples.
The renovation of several schools in Darmstadt, Germany, is underway. Rather than building a temporary pavilion per school, the city assessed the issue properly: build only one pavilion for all the schools, and schedule their renovation properly. Visionary.
What to do with all these children? This question moved the municipality of Mühltal. A new building was needed and quickly. But not at the expense of quality. Thanks to perfect cooperation between the community and the mobispace® architects and contractors, the new daycare was planned and built in record time.
Only a 3 months long construction time, thanks to mobispace®. Probably Germany's fastest daycare.
The first mobispace®. Created out of the need for a temporary building, and the decision not to rent steel containers. In a very short time, a vision became a product, mobispace®.
The District of Darmstadt-Dieburg made the right decision: not to build temporary schools out of conventional steel containers, but to try something completely new. And the students confirmed it was the right decision: "We do not want to go back to our renovated school, we want a second mobispace."
The Botany department of Darmstadt Technical University needed very quickly a temporary building for its 40 new employees. The mobispace® pavilion will remain at that location for six years. After that, the mobispace® pavilion will be moved to the next location.
The Ludwig Weber Primary school in Frankfurt-Sindlingen has been rebuilt in the form of a three-storey timber construction. The modular construction system houses 12 classrooms as well as teaching, sanitary, technical and storage spaces.
Teaching elementary school to children in uncomfortable steel containers was no longer acceptable. A new solution had to be found. mobispace® was the first and best choice. A flexible building that can stay permanently, without technical restrictions.
The primary school in Berkersheim is bursting at the seams. It is urgent to create space for two new classrooms for the new school year. Speed and high quality are required, with the option to rebuild these pavilions in other locations in the future. Mobispace® is the solution.
